How to Repent

Let me start by saying this:

"YOU CANNOT WHOLEHEARTEDLY REPENT UNLESS YOU ARE WHOLEHEARTEDLY SORRY!! AND NOT JUST  "THINK YOU'RE SORRY", YOU NEED TO FEEL IT.  ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE NO MORE FIGHT IN YOU AGAINST EVIL DOING BUT ALL THE FIGHT IN YOU TO FIGHT FOR YOUR SALVATION. THIS IS WHEN YOU WILL LOOK TO THE LORD AND NOT YOURSELF. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY CLAIM JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR. THIS IS TRUE REPENTING....SURRENDERING TO THE LORD.

Once we acknowledge our sin or sinS, we must turn from the,. Here is why:

There is no quick fix to sin. It effects your mind, your heart and your actions. Once that small little act wraps its hands around your mind and your heart it will only grow bigger and bigger and more uncontrollable.  It will then start to effect everything and everyone around you. There is guilt, shame and confusion to say the least. That is of the enemy.

Believe me, if you have inner demons, once you are filled with the Holy Spirit they flee, you are at peace, physically, mentally, emotionally, and want to have no desire to turn back. You never turn back and then you start to rebuild. The Holy Spirit guides you. When your journey becomes righteous and clean from unholy things, your journey will begin to be a blessing. It is a smooth graceful transition. With God's grace. One step, then the next step. There's no confusion or doubt and you become obedient and humble. You see, because you never want to go back to the pit again.

“Seek the LORD while he may be found” (Isaiah 55:6).

You sinned, now what?? Do NOT make light or justification for it.

You do not repent in order for your sins to be saved. That is why Jesus was the ULTIMATE sacrifice on the cross!! You repent in the unbelief in Christ to be saved. That is a work based righteousness to be saved and it never ends.

Repenting is accepting that Christ is Lord and savior, the son of God who was slain as the final sacrifice for our sins. It is by His blood we are sanctified. You are forgiven by God through His son Jesus Christ.  From unbelief to belief. You access the love and mercy by Jesus. You mature. You turn from sin. You do not want to sin, and old ways, or immoral acts will no longer feel right. You don't repeatedly repent to be repeatedly forgiven. Only Jesus blood forgives. Our forgive issue with God is over. Jesus died on the cross for all your past present and future sins. Your forgiveness is done.

Google says: Biblical repentance is not about your emotions, your sin, your efforts, or your resolve. It's about your surrender.

Just because we are forgiven, that does not mean it was okay. Always turn from it. Meaning do not repeat it.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. - Acts 3:19

See, once you turn from sin, you repent and pretty much yearn for the forgiveness, humbleness, grace, love, joy, and peace that ONLY Christ can give you once you declare Him as your Lord and Savior. After we do repent and turn from sin because we are human, there may still come a day that we have wronged again but the difference is once saved, The Lord will bring conviction and correctness and you will be so humbled that you never want to make that same mistake/sin again and you will turn without hesitation.

Do not try to keep it to yourself in guilt and shame. Reach out to other Christ followers and speak out loud. Not for confession because we are already forgiven but because the devil loves when you are alone, he loves to dance around in our minds and make you feel "like" you are condemned BUT you're NOT..

Always remember, YOU ARE NOT YOUR SIN!!

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." — 1 John 1:9

You are perfect in God's perfect image. Jesus's blood sanctifies.

Remove everything in your home that is unholy. The holy cannot walk through unholy grounds!! If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away,
And do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;

Job 11:14

Mind, Free will and Emotions. That is the make up of your soul. You are living in a flesh body. The body is still a separate part of your make up.

There are many different spirits that may enter the soul If we allow to keep that door open. It needs NOT to be welcomed into the body. Some are: spirit of alcohol, spirits of lust, sprint of jealously, spirit of anger.

Deuteronomy 7:26

"Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction."

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. - Colossians 3:5

HOW TO BE RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST:

Acts 16:30–31

30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

SAY THIS PRAYER:

LORD, I COME BEFORE YOU THIS DAY TO CONFESS THAT YOU ARE LORD AND THAT YOU DIED ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS. I BELIEVE YOU WERE RAISED FROM THE DEAD  AND  I REPENT OF MY SINS, COME INTO MY HEART,  WALK WITH ME EVERY DAY AND TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.

Congratulations, You just have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior!

NEXT STEPS:

1. BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

2. HAVE A PASTOR LAY HANDS ON YOU

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
